Tyler Oliver - author

Tyler received a Master of Fine Arts in Cinema-Television from USC and is an accomplished cinematographer, screenwriter and director. He has worked with teen Disney stars, Nickelodeon, The United Nations, Island Records, Snoop Dogg, and everyone in between. The Slumbering Pearl is Tyler's first children's book. He lives in the Lake Tahoe area with his wife and young daughter, the original pearl.

Gita Treice - illustrator

Gita Treice is an award winning painter, illustrator and graphic designer from Riga, Latvia. She received her Master of Arts Degree from Art Academy of Latvia, and has been honored with numerous solo exhibitions. Gita's book illustrations and book design have received awards and nominations in the most prestigious international competitions, and she is a nominee of the Hans Christian Andersen Prize 2020 and Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award 2021. Gita lives in Riga with her husband and daughter.
